Using a calibrated thermography process, it is not unusual to discover water problems that are hidden from view of the home owner. Water will deteriorate the structural integrity of wood and it is important to catch a water problem early before damage or mold sets in.

The picture on the right shows water leakage through a porch roof. This was only visible through the thermography process and was not seen with the naked eye. We were able to validate the moisture content of the wood (72%) and compared this to the neighboring wood which was dry.

The home owner was extremely pleased that the problem was discovered and isolated to a small area.
